Out of Hours Play Leader - Holy Trinity CE Academy Rothwell

 

Salary:  Actual Salary £7878

20 hours per week, Monday to Friday

8.00 - 9.00am, 3.00 - 6.00pm

Hours will be agreed to suit Trust requirements.  (You may be required

to undertake occasional work at functions outside of these core hours).

 

Abbey Multi-Academy is looking to appoint an individual with

experience, energy and enthusiasm to manage its play club in Rothwell

to the highest possible standard. The post holder will be responsible for

planning and preparing a programme of activities, managing and

leading a team of staff and taking responsibility for all relevant paperwork and administration.  The post holder will also develop, implement and review the policies, procedures and practices within the provision and take a lead role in the promotion of the club in the local area.

 

Holy Trinity CE Academy, Rothwell has dedicated staff and wonderful children who take pride in their school. They are looking for an out of hours play leader who is creative and able to articulate and support the Christian ethos and values of the Academy. The candidate must have good communication and organisational skills and a commitment to high quality childcare. The candidate must also be able to work well as part of a team and will need to engage with pupils and parents.

A level 3 qualification in childcare or equivalent and a certificate in food hygiene is required. You would also have to appropriate first aid training.

We wish to appoint an Abbey Manager to join our pastoral team to take responsibility for the management of one of the 6 Abbeys in our Vertical Pastoral System reporting directly to the Head of Pastoral Care.  Abbey Managers are responsible for supporting curriculum areas to secure high standards of work, attitude and behaviour from the students in the Abbey.  As an Abbey Manager you will support the pastoral team in addressing the needs of all students but especially those students who need specific support to overcome barriers to learning

 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Significant experience of working in a similar role within a school/academy setting
  • Substantial expertise in initiating and maintaining successful working relationships with students, teaching and non-teaching staff, parents/carers and relevant agencies
  • Proven record of successful delivery of support to students to overcome barriers to learning both at a strategic and operational level
  • An ability to manage behaviour effectively to ensure and foster a safe, engaging, enjoyable and outstanding climate for learning.
  • The ability to plan effective actions for students at risk of underachieving
  • Working knowledge of national curriculum and other relevant learning programmes
  • Excellent numeracy, literacy and ICT skills
  • The ability to administer first aid or willing to undergo first aid training

 

The successful candidate will be required to work term time only plus 10 days which is reflected in the pro rata salary.  There may be a requirement to work outside of the designated hours and off Academy premises as required.
