Cover Supervisor - Lightcliffe Academy

 

Salary: 35 hours per week, term time only, plus 5 training days.

Scale C1 point 22 to 25 - Actual Salary £17,328 to £19,003 per annum

 

Reference: LA37

 

Start Date: Required as soon as possible.

 

Required as soon as possible, a Cover Supervisor to provide cover for classes during the absence of teachers.  Ideally the successful candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status and completed their NQT year, but this is not an essential requirement.

Holy Trinity CE Academy is a thriving and highly successful Church of England convertor Academy which serves communities right across the city of Leeds.  We are part of a newly formed and growing multi academy trust, Abbey Multi Academy Trust.

 

Abbey Multi-Academy is looking to appoint an individual with experience, energy and enthusiasm to manage its play club in Rothwell to the highest possible standard. The post holder will be responsible for planning and preparing a programme of activities, managing and leading a team of staff and taking responsibility for all relevant paperwork and administration.  The post holder will also develop, implement and review the policies, procedures and practices within the provision and take a lead role in the promotion of the club in the local area.

 

Holy Trinity CE Academy, Rothwell has dedicated staff and wonderful children who take pride in their school. They are looking for an out of hours play leader who is creative and able to articulate and support the Christian ethos and values of the Academy. The candidate must have good communication and organisational skills and a commitment to high quality childcare. The candidate must also be able to work well as part of a team and will need to engage with pupils and parents.

The successful candidates will:

  • Provide levels of individual pastoral support to pupils including those with special needs, as directed by the teacher.

  • Have the ability to lead, motivate and develop effective team working between students and staff to ensure common goals are met.
  • Demonstrate a knowledge of and ability to implement positive behaviour systems and procedures.
  • Manage behaviour effectively to ensure and foster a safe, engaging, enjoyable and outstanding climate for learning.
  • Communicate confidently and effectively with students, staff, parents/carers and relevant external agencies.
  • Have an understanding and practical experience of safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure students’ well-being, in accordance with statutory provisions and policies.
