Since beginning our Trust's oracy journey at Bishop Young Academy in 2018, we have worked in close partnership with Voice 21 resulting in an ambitious oracy strategy to become a talk-rich Trust.
We are proud that our dedication and commitment to the oracy imperative has been externally recognised. Bishop Young Academy is accredited as a Centre of Oracy Excellence- an accolade only held by one other secondary school nationally.
As a Trust we are passionate about empowering leaders within each of our schools to develop an innovative oracy curriculum and to value the opportunity as teachers of talk to undertake evidence-based research on the impact of a high-quality oracy education on our young people.
